Privacy policy

Area of application

This data privacy statement informs users about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by the responsible provider IOSS GmbH on this website. The legal basis of data protection is provided by the Federal Data Protection Act and the Telemedia Act.

Access data / server log files

The provider collects data each time the website is accessed (known as server log files). The access data consists of: Name of the accessed website, file, date and time of access, transmitted data volume, notification about the successful access, browser type including version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited site), IP address and the requesting provider.
The provider only uses the log data for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the offering. However, the provider reserves the right to review the log data retroactively, if specific indications give rise to a justified suspicion of illegal use.

Handling of personal data

Personal data is information that allows a person to be identified, that is, details that can be traced back to a person. This includes e.g. the name, e-mail address or telephone number. Data regarding the websites a person has accessed is likewise considered personal data. Personal data is only collected, used and transmitted by the provider, if this is permitted by law or the users have provided consent for the collection of the data.

Establishing contact

When contact is established with the provider, the user’s information is saved for the purpose of processing the inquiry as well as in case that follow-up questions arise.

Incorporation of third-party services and contents

Third-party contents, such as for example Google maps, YouTube videos, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites may be incorporated within this online offering. This always requires that the providers of these contents know the users’ IP address. Without the IP address, they would not be able to send the contents to the respective user’s browser. Thus, the IP address is necessary to display these contents. We endeavour to only use contents whose respective providers use the IP address exclusively for delivering the contents. However, we have no control over whether third-parties save the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. To the extent this is known to us, we will share this knowledge with the users.

Google Analytics

This offering uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files that are stored on the users’ computer and enable the analysis of their use of the website. The information about the users’ use of this website generated by the cookie is normally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and saved there. However, if IP anonymization is enabled on this website, Google will first shorten the users’ IP addresses within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting parties to the agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. IP anonymization is enabled on this website. On behalf of this website’s operator, Google will use this information to assess the users’ use of the website in order to compile reports about the website activities and to render other services associated with the website and internet use for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be linked to any other data from Google. Users can stop the storage of cookies by changing the settings of their browser software; however, this offering advises its users that if they do this, they may not be able to use all of the functions of this website to the full extent. Moreover, users can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie in relation to their use of the website (incl. their IP address) and its transmission to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the browser plugin provided:
